Trondheim Fire Department

Sandmoen Fire Station

Sandmoen is the first of four new fire stations in Trondheim, all of which are included in one public commission. Each of the four stations are given a special frieze inspired by the fire department identification marking. The idea is to bring in an element of identification that will also be an eye-catcher for passers-by. The coloured panels of the facade appear and disappear as one moves around the building.
